Measuring up for Woven Shades

Measuring advice

A perfect fitting woven shade requires the use of a steel tape measure - cloth tapes will sag and give imprecise results. Do the measuring to the nearest 1/8" and don't worry if openings aren't square - they rarely are.

Write down the how wide it is first - measure in three places and utilize the narrowest width. Then measure the height (also in 3 different spots) and take the longest measurement. Be careful not to get them mixed up.

Mounting shades

Mount woven window shades on the inside of the frame for the neatest treatment. Provide exact measurements when ordering online - manufacturers will deduct a small amount to make sure that shades do not rub against the frames.
